Waiting on them to tell me what’s wrong, hoping they do the right thing and fix it for free if this issue is as common as I’ve been seeing here and other forums. Was dismissed with “there can be a number of reasons it’s faulty and won’t know until we look” and basically denied that this has been a common issue. Also brought up the number of posts I’ve seen regarding this same issue on brand new 4 and 6ks, apparently b&h got a bad batch with one user having to return 3/5 brand new cameras with the same exact screen issue. RMA’d and described the issue to support and explained that though the camera is just out of warranty this month I’ve barely used the unit. Attempted a firmware update but got stuck on the language screen when starting up. Also noticed a light frosting look under the left side edge of the screen. Powered off and on and the middle of the screen lost all functionality. The ultra-thin, 0.4mm thick design maintains the camera LCDs natural, accurate touchscreen control. Powered on and the buttons started glitching/ pressing on their own. Protect the LCD screen on your Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro from fingerprints, water spray, dust, and scratches with this Screen Protector two-pack from SmallRig. Brought it out for a shoot last week and thank god I tested before. Never dropped, had it in a small rig cage since I bought it and stored it in a pelican case for a year. Have shot with it for less then 20 hours before the pandemic.
